"Will you ever stop underplaying your problems?" Hound asked with that rarely used no nonsense tone that left no room for diversions. "It's not important," Mirage replied softly, not really feeling like dragging his mate into his personal conflicts with the traditions and customs of the Cybertronian elite. "Well? Are you going to tell me what's wrong?" Hound whispered with amusement, holding his mate better and against his frame and pressing his cheek gently against one of the antennas of Mirage's helm. How could Hound turn something the Valkyrie noble considered so foul into something so affectionate and marvelous? Mirage did not know, but he was beyond caring at this point. He despised that nickname with a fiery passion, yet when the word came from Hound's vocalizer he couldn't help but melt at the affectionate undertones of the nickname. Mirage surrendered and laid his head against Hound's chest plates. "Liar," Hound chuckled and turned the white and blue mech around in his arms. "I'm all right," Mirage replied softly, resting a black hand over his lover's. Such was the power the green mech had over him. And that thought alone, the little mental reminder that Hound was his mate, improved his mood considerably. Mirage forced the hint of a small smile into his lip components as he turned his face to look at his mate, Hound. "Something bothering you, beautiful?" Hound's arms wrapping around his middle made Mirage's foul mood drop a little. Not now, not in a few orns, not in several vorns, and possibly not ever. It had been several orns already, but the nobles couldn't let it go. His mood hadn't been good since the invitation arrived, but had turned for the worse once he read the contents. He read the contents out of habit, although he knew he wasn't going to feel in the best of moods by the moment his optics reached the end. He received the same message countless of times before the purpose was always the same, the message was pretty much a copy and paste every time with just minor changes to fix the dates and the names the invitation was addressed to. The message was no surprise to Mirage, he knew what the contents were even before he played the message. The young noble cycled air through his intakes in a heavy sigh and activated the holographic display, awaiting for the short animation to die down and reveal its message for Skyfire's only child. He dreaded to activate it and read the contents of the display, although he knew this would happen sooner or later, he wasn't looking forward to it. Mirage stared intently at the small display he held between his delicate black fingers. Please remember I am using my own mixture of cybertronian modes for this, so you may need some visual reference to get where Hound and Mirage are touching. Notes: Yeah a little smut pause before we go back to Prowl talking with Ironhide. A re imagination of Cybertron's society where the line dividing slaves from nobles is so thin. Summary: AU - Partly using Dreamwave's comics as basis. (Though neither's named but Mirage's father = Skyfire. Warnings: Hound being horribly sweet? Mech SeckzĬharacters: Hound and Mirage.
